Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC completed the second quarter of 2022 with a profit

In the second quarter of 2022, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC significantly increased its net profit compared to the corresponding period last year, which made AZN 1 million 361 thousand.

During this period, the bank's assets and loan portfolio have reached, respectively, AZN 383.8 and 220.9 mln. Compared to the end of last year, the volume of business loans has increased by 36 %, which is 26 % of the total volume of loans issued to customers. Thus, the volume of the loan portfolio issued to corporate clients increased compared to the same period last year and reached AZN 160 million in the second quarter of 2022; herewith, it is of particular note that in the portfolio structure by industries, the non-oil sector prevails.

For the past period of 2022, the bank’s total capital after deductions has increased to AZN 76.3 million. According to the legislation in force, the minimum rate of total capital is AZN 50 million.

In the second quarter of the current year, the Tier 1 and total capital adequacy ratios were 29 and 31 %, respectively. As a result, the bank's capital adequacy ratios turned out to be significantly higher than the rates set by the regulatory body. It should be noted that according to the Central Bank’s requirements, the total capital adequacy ratio should be at least 10 %.
